The Joint Committee on Ethics and Members' Interests has released its annual register of gifts received by various politicians.
Most of the gifts went to ministers and deputy ministers, and the majority were small gifts of alcohol and chocolates. However, ANC MP Fikile Majola received a surprisingly hefty gift from trade union NEHAWU: a 2017 BMW X5 valued at R864 000.
